Kamchatka is a unique peninsula located in the Russian Far East. It is the land of volcanoes and wildlife and an ideal place for ecological tourism.
Kamchatka region provides countless emotions. Local nature is perfect for active and extreme tourism: hiking, jeep tours, kayaking, rafting and fishing in the summer, heliskiing, dog sledding and snowmobile tours in the winter. One of the most beautiful active volcanoes in the world, Klyuchevskaya Sopka, is located here, and tourists can take a helicopter tour around it.
There is also a unique black sand beach in Kamchatka — Khalaktyrsky beach, washed by the Pacific Ocean. Glamping is popular on its shore. In the vicinity of the Kurile Lake tourists may be able to see brown bears.
In Kamchatka, one can relax in hot thermal springs in the open air at any time of the year, get acquainted with the life and traditions of the indigenous population in ethnic villages.
The region is famous for its delicious seafood and wild herbs: salmon, red caviar, scallop, Kamchatka crab. People also come here for numerous events — festivals and holidays, or example, the Volcano Day or the Beringia sled dog race.
